Originally from Atlanta, Brooke brings a decade of volunteer experience in a variety of libraries and roles.  Her passion for libraries led her to earn her MLIS from San Jose State University, and she is deeply committed to promoting the values that make libraries dynamic and inclusive community spaces.  Prior to graduate school, she honed her skills in the banking and finance sector, where she developed extensive expertise in technical writing, budget management, project management, and business operations.

When not curled up with a good book (historical fiction or non-fiction), Brooke loves exploring new parks with her rescue pup, catching up on her favorite podcasts, and volunteering in support of literacy.
