Alene E. Moroni
Alene believes in giving the patrons what they want while maintaining a sense of what libraries mean in our communities, and stewarding available resources to provide the absolute greatest value from limited funding. Alene has worked in large public library systems for more than 20 years (Seattle Public Library, The New York Public Library, King County [WA] Library System) in both public and technical services, and currently works in a small public library in New England.
Alene is a yoga teacher, tea drinker, bicyclist, and cat lady. She's a Sagittarius who enjoys frequent yoga classes and Trader Joe's trail mixes that don't contain raisins. She can often be found thrift shopping for clothes and chasing her cats around the house begging for affection. She grew up on the Olympic Peninsula but is a city girl at heart, having spent her 20s in Manhattan.
