Christa Werle

Christa Werle works to bring idea management, project management, change management and outcomes-based evaluation to programs and services offered by public libraries and other socially responsible organizations. With a social return on investment model in mind, she believes that service organizations of the future should know their intrinsic value and be able to prove it with data.
Christa’s first job was for the fueling station at her dad's work, where she was tasked with scrubbing a diesel semi-truck gas station. She lasted all of one shift. Her next job was as the personal assistant for a working mother running an advertising agency. From there, Christa began a 20-year career as a librarian and went on to serve libraries in a range of public service, technical, communications, and supervisory positions.

Living on five rural acres keeps Christa busy outside of work, as do her two kids, two cats, and a tortoise. Some of her favorite books are from childhood, such as Ferdinand and The Secret Garden, which she also enjoyed reading to her daughters.
