Hayden Bass, Project Manager
Hayden Bass' extensive project management experience in libraries includes large scale programs and events, community partnerships, and system-wide services. She is the chair of YALSA's Programming Guidelines Taskforce, and a member of the 2015 Printz Committee for Excellence in Young Adult Literature.
In recent years, Hayden has focused on helping libraries connect with underserved communities through outreach and partnerships. She also brings a background in youth services, information literacy and instruction, staff training, and readers' advisory. Her innovative approach to the personalized reading list, called "Your Next 5 Books," is a model for similar services at libraries nationwide.

Hayden has come a long way since pretending to be Harriet the Spy, carrying a notebook and wearing a tool belt for years after reading the book. But she still always carries a notebook.
