Nem started library work in 2015, working in Circulation in Olympia, Washington. What started as a job quickly turned into a passion for serving their community through public libraries. They studied English Literature and French Language at Eastern Michigan University, graduating in 2014 before promptly moving to the West Coast.

Nem’s professional background is rooted in customer service- they aim to ensure that all parties are informed, empowered and pleased with the results of a project every step of the way.  They believe wholeheartedly in the ability of libraries to serve  the most vulnerable in our community, and  try to keep  that belief in mind in their work. Nem enjoys reading comics, baking outlandishly difficult recipies pulled from cooking shows, creative writing, and too-real astrology memes.
