Susan Hildreth
Susan has had an extensive career working with primarily public libraries at the local, regional, state and federal level. She has worked in leadership positions at all levels and believes she has made a contribution to the field, particularly in the areas of impactful partnerships, community engagement and broadband deployment. She has had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of library services and issues and can articulate high-level views of issues as well as identifying on-the-ground impacts. She has been successful in communicating and translating the arcane language of library land into messages that resonate with the public.
At this point in her career, Susan is focused on providing knowledge, assistance and advice so that libraries can be successful in these challenging times. She is committed to coaching and supporting emerging leaders who will be successful in moving the library field forward.
Susan's family moved frequently when she was young and she always sought out the library as her first stop when they came to a new town in the summer and had not established friendships.
